FOR ENGINEERING TEAMS

Find the step that changed the outcome.

Design incident reviews around the execution, not just the agent’s final message.

Trace an error through its recovery

A dependency lookup times out, a retry returns a value, and an agent continues. The final output may look routine, while the execution exposes a reliability issue worth investigating. Keep both attempts and their context.

Distinguish workload changes from regressions

Compare runs using the same capture source and version. A new connector may report more activity without the agent doing more work. Missing instrumentation can look like a performance improvement if coverage is ignored.

Prepare evidence for a useful handoff

A reviewer needs execution identity, relevant steps, failure context, and capture limits. Avoid copying credentials or full private prompts into an incident ticket. The planned export workflow is intended to make the necessary evidence portable without treating every raw field as safe to share.

A practical pilot

Start with a staging workflow and a known failure. Agree the data exclusions, confirm that the failure appears in its correct place, and check how retries and asynchronous steps are represented before relying on the record.
